PATIENT CARE / LOS ANGELES

Autoimmunity & chronic inflammation

A comprehensive look at your health, alongside the care you already receive. Evaluation with Dr. Elroy Vojdani at Regenera Medical in Los Angeles.

When you want a broader understanding

Living with an autoimmune condition can raise questions that extend beyond the diagnosis itself. You may be receiving appropriate specialist treatment and still want help understanding fatigue, digestive symptoms, changes in sleep, or the effect of illness on daily life.

Dr. Vojdani’s approach brings your symptoms, medical history, prior testing, and current treatment together. The aim is to identify useful next steps while respecting the role of condition-specific medical care.

Who this evaluation may suit

  • Adults with a diagnosed autoimmune condition seeking additional, coordinated support.
  • People with persistent symptoms who need help understanding the next steps in evaluation.
  • Patients seeking an individualized discussion of nutrition, lifestyle, and other potentially relevant contributors to their health.

Symptoms or an abnormal antibody result alone do not necessarily establish an autoimmune diagnosis. A rheumatologist or another relevant specialist may be needed to clarify the diagnosis or manage disease activity.

What the evaluation involves

The starting point is a careful review of your timeline, diagnoses, medications, supplements, and previous investigations. Dr. Vojdani considers patterns across your history, including the relationship between symptoms, infections, nutrition, and other exposures when clinically relevant.

Additional testing is selected to address specific questions. Findings are interpreted alongside symptoms and examination rather than treated as answers in isolation. The plan may include changes to nutrition or daily habits, medical treatment where appropriate, and coordination with your existing clinicians.

Research that informs the questions

Dr. Vojdani has co-authored reviews examining how infections, food-related immune responses, and environmental exposures may relate to autoimmunity. These papers explore biological mechanisms and developing evidence; they do not establish that a particular exposure caused an individual patient’s condition or that a specific treatment will reverse it.

Questions before you begin

Will this replace my rheumatologist or other specialist?

The evaluation is intended to complement appropriate specialist care. Continue prescribed treatment unless you and the prescribing clinician agree on a change.

Will everyone receive the same tests or diet?

No. Recommendations depend on your history, existing results, nutritional needs, and the clinical questions being addressed.

Can an evaluation guarantee an explanation or recovery?

No. The goal is a clearer understanding and an individualized care plan, with honest discussion of what is known and what remains uncertain.
